Home from quilt market!!

My first official post!! What a whirlwind the last 12 days, the Aussie gals, their trunk show, gathering, then me playing tour guide, antique guide and host. I think we all had the best time and we formed new friendships that will last a lifetime. Then off to quilt market to meet up with some of our other new friends, Paula and Mary Ellen of Bonnie Blue Quilts, Gloria of the Old Green Cupboard, Docia and Beth of The Quilt Merchant and the most fun night out for supper with them all. Gloria entertained us with some great stories! I found so much wonderful new things to bring back to the shop, I'm not sure where to start, lots of wool and wool projects and patterns, great embroidery patterns, we've ordered the Presencia full line of floss for the shop!! It is the most wonderful floss out there and now it's available right here. I'm ready to start the dye process for our wool we'll be carrying in the shop soon. Lots of new fabric arriving soon, some new classes. We'll be starting the "Prairie Women's Sewing Circle" we'll meet once a month with a small project of "making do". We're going to offer the block of the month by Leonie and Deirdre of the Quilted Crow "1864" wool applique block of the month, Basket's of Life stitchery block of the month. New punch-needle patterns from Country Stitches, new books from Kansas City Star books, Threads that Bind, wool and punchneedle,Civil War Legacies, The Cottage at Cardiff Farms, some beautiful wool table toppers!! Wooden Spool Designs has a great Advent Calendar done in wool, Under the Garden Moon, and the list goes on. We have to get it all inventoried and marked and out for you to see, give us a few days. I have some graduation quilts to quilt this week, so it may take a few days. I'll post some pictures too, I'll figure this blog thing out soon too, I hope. Helen got it all set up, just wish she didn't live so far away. The girls got some great opportunities offered to them at market, watch for a "book signing" at Quilted Memories after spring market in Salt Lake City next year!!

blessings,
Twyla
